Government of Odisha established an autonomous Institute Biju Pattanaik Film & Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO) under World Bank assisted scheme to meet the emerging demand of well trained technical manpower in the field of television network and film production activities. Situated on the bank of the river Mahanadi, BPFTIO occupies an independent space in the sprawling campus of Bhubanananda Odisha School of Engineering (BOSE), Cuttack, the oldest Engineering School of the State. The institute if funded by Government of Odisha, Department of Skill Development and Technical Education and offers 4 years degree courses in Cinematography, Sound Recording & Sound Design, Film Editing.

BPFTIO now invites candidates for SPOT Counseling for admission in 2023-24 session in the above degree courses against the few vacant seats.

Admission schedule: Interested candidates can visit the Institute between 2^nd September and 12^th September, 2023 from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM with following supporting documents:

- JEE main /OJEE (BCAT) rank card

- Marksheet of CHSE or equivalent exam

- HSC Certificate for date of birth

- Passport size photograph

- Aadhar card

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates who have not participated in earlier rounds of OJEE counselling / who have withdrawn from the OJEE counselling process.

2. Candidates who have participated in earlier rounds of OJEE counselling but have not got allotment of seats/ allotted a seat but not confirmed / considered further due to any reason.

3. The candidate who have been issued Final Allotment letter after final round of OJEE counselling but have not reported at their allotted institution.

4. Candidate who have JEE MAIN / BCAT rank but not allotted seats.

5. Outside State candidates having JEE Main/ BCAT rank can also apply provided they have to pay fees at par with the fees charged by IIIT, Bhubaneswar if admitted. (www.iiit-bh.ac.in).

Fee payment: The candidates who get allotment in the spot round process, shall have to immediately make payment of Rs.31,000/- (for all category except outside State candidate) as part admission fees, failing which his/her allotment will be cancelled.
